As part of the National Open Garden Scheme, take your time in a guided tour of the Streamside Trees garden with varied planting, wildlife habitats, wilding projects and bonsai display. Julia will then demonstrate how to create a bonsai from a small tree £20pp. All proceeds to the NGS

About the event
As part of the National Open Garden Scheme, you will be guided through Julia's much admired garden. Take your time walking next to the stream and around the informal garden setting with many different areas and planting styles. May is the perfect month to view the camellias, rhododendrons and azaleas giving an impressive colourful display. Be inspired by the many wildlife projects including a large pond and many natural habitats. You will soon see the tree nursery areas where Julia grows all the trees from seed and cutting, as well as seeing the display of bonsai in development.
Julia will then demonstrate how to create a bonsai by styling and potting a starter tree. You'll be amazed how easy it is! Julia's presenting style is informal and fun with plenty of opportunities for questions.
